Glitter Chevron Nail Tutorial!

Hey everyone! I'm back with another tutorial! On  instagram ( @perfectpolishnails) I told you that if my picture of beachy themed mixed nails gets 20 likes, I will post a tutorial. Well, I got 26 likes so here it is!

First, pick two solid colors and a glitter polish that you think look good together. I did a beach color scheme for the summer.
The blue reminds me of water, the gold is the sand and glitter is the night sky. This is a great look for summer!
  1. Paint the thumb, pinky and index finger blue.
  2. Paint the middle finger gold.
  3. Take the glitter polish and paint a few coats of that on the ring finger.
  4. After the middle finger of gold dries, use a striper and very carefully paint on a chevron print with blue. This resembles where the water meets the shore on a beach. ( if you prefer, you can use craft scissors and cut strips of tape. Paint the tape with blue and stick it on the gold.)
  5. Finish it off with a clear coat and you have some beautiful nails!
Everyone will be so impressed with your glitter chevron nail tutorial! Please share your recreations with me on instagram using #perfectpolishnails.

~Money Saving Tips: Cheaper Nail Polish?!~

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time, but I'm back with a great post!
We all know that nail polish can be SUPER expensive. Most people I know use the expensive nail polish and complain about how they can't do their nails often because they don't want to spend another $4-8 on a small bottle of nail polish. Let's take a trip to CVS pharmacy where I usually buy my nail polish. Pay attention to the price tags.

What's that? The picture right above is only.. 99 cents?! That's right. The price range for nail polish is anywhere from $1 to $8. I know what you are thinking. "The $5 dollar nail polish is way better quality." As a nail polish obsessed girl, I can tell you that the more expensive nail polish is no better than the less expensive brands. I do own Sally Hansen nail polish and I cannot tell the difference between Sally Hansen and NYC nail polish which is always less than $2. The best drugstore nail polish brands would be NYC and Wet 'n' Wild. Both brands have gorgeous colors and they stay on as long as the higher end brands without chipping. One more tip to get cheap nail polish is to go to your local dollar store. Everything is $1 and to my surprise I saw brand names such as Sinful Colors and Milani. I bought a whole bunch of nail polish from the Dollar Tree without denting my wallet.
If you want to have beautiful nails, you don't have to spend all your money anymore. Be a smart spender with PerfectPolish!

Nautical Nails Tutorial!

Hiya! So this is my first tutorial on my blog! I did Nautical themed nails a few days ago!
So let's get right into it!
These are the colors I used: Sinful Colors"Midnight Blue", NYC "Big Apple Red Creme", Confetti "Wedding White", NYC "Extra Shiny Top Coat"
  1. Paint all your nails white EXCEPT your index finger( instead of index finger you can use your ring finger, but I prefer using my index finger.
  2. Paint your index finger/ring finger dark blue. I used Sinful Colors "Midnight Blue"
  3. ~~~~Let Dry~~~~
  4. After drying, use a red striper to carefully paint horizontal stripes on the white fingernails. I used NYC "Big Apple Red Creme"( If you don't have a red striper, use another color striper and just wipe off that polish and dip it in red polish.
  5. Now let's paint the anchor!
  6. Use a large dotting tool and make a white dot towards the top of the blue nail.
  7. Use a white striper to create a vertical line from the dot towards the bottom of the nail. Leave some space from the bottom though.
  8. Then use a white striper to create the hooked part of the anchor. Just start at the bottom of the white vertical line and create a curved line. Do the same on the other side.
  9. Use a white striper to create a small horizontal line under the white dot.
  10. Then use a smaller dotting tool and make a small dark blue dot right on top the white dot. This creates a "loop" look.
  11. Wait for all the nails to dry completely.
  12. Repeat steps 1-11 for the other hand.
  13. Lastly, apply a top coat.
Now you have beautiful Nautical themed nails!!!
You can do this design on your toes, just paint your big toe blue instead. :)
Hope you had a fun time making these! If you have questions, make sure to comment and I will reply right away! :D

June's Nail Polish of the Month!

Welcome to Nail Polish of the Month! June's featured nail polish is... Wet n Wild Megalast "I Need A Refresh-Mint"!

This nail polish has a "manicurve" tip brush which means that it is rounded instead of a stick shaped brush. The brush makes application much easier! The color is really pretty but not as light as I thought it would be. Its similar to the China Glaze Re- Fresh Mint but much darker. The best part about this nail polish is that it was only $1.99 at CVS Pharmacy. I recommend this color because its cheap, stays on long and is a cute color.
